It’s less time-consuming than Facebook. It’s more fun than softball. It’s Faceball! And it made us laugh a lot.

Jeffrey Yamaguchi’s book Working for the Man is hilarious. And now he’s making hilarious videos to go along with it. Take a couple seconds to avoid working and check out this video, “The Office Hottie.”
Since we’ve had two long and kind of text-heavy posts today, we hereby offer you a workplace distraction: build your own snowman!
Warning: this is seriously addictive. Also, he needs a monocle.
Holiday season doesn’t just mean crazy moms stabbing each other at the shopping mall, it also means fun and silly internet distractions. This year we’re enjoying Elf Yourself, where you can, well, see yourself as an elf. This is also an excellent opportunity to dig up those old photos of your ex and see what he would look like with a green elf hat on.
Is there a woman in your office who seems to only communicate via Post-It note? Or a guy who is always leaving bitchy signs in the bathroom signed “a concerned employee”? If so, take a snapshot and submit it to this awesome site, The Office Sign Project.
As broke-ass assistants, we’re always looking for ways to cut costs. One simple way to do that is to pack your lunch everyday instead of going out. But do you find that packing a lunch every day means you default to boring PB&J? You might want to check out this awesome photo group on Flickr called Brought My Lunch. You can drool over the pictures of various sumptuous and tasty-looking lunches and let the photos inspire you to try some new recipes. If you have a Flickr account, you can take a snapshot of your own lunch creation and add it to the group.
Mmm. It’s healthy, cheap, and creative.
While not as much fun as “office loogy” might be, this game will send you flying through board rooms and landing ass-up on the copy machine. No workers’ comp though, sorry.
Enjoy the luge: http://www.nytimes.whsites.net/play/
We have all seen–and worked in–some pretty terrible offices. We’ve seen ”workspaces” without windows or proper ventilation, cubicles with broken walls, and more. So Wired magazine decided to go one step further and hold a contest for the world’s worst cubicle.

You can check out the whole sad collection here.
Lilit here…I’m in London this week, which explains the lack of Britney Spears-related posts on this site. However, I had to tell you about a very cool find for assistants in the Big Smoke. The website The Other Lunch Break has fun, creative, and usually free things that you can do during your hour away from the office, many of which they host or sponsor themselves. Past offerings have included free lie detector tests, moonwalking lessons, and taking a class on how to impress your significant other’s parents.
They have got to move this to the other side of the pond. If you’re reading this, guys, I hereby offer to be the first student in your moonwalking class.
OK, so they’re not exactly made of paper, but we’re hooked on these cute celebrity dolls from Cartoon Doll Emporium. After all, who hasn’t wanted to get Mariah Carey to wear some damn clothes already?
You can start with future assistant J.Hud or our personal favorite, Oprah. (Her accessories include a magazine with a picture of herself on the cover, a ribbon to cut, and a small African child.)
