anna chlumsky to make comeback as assistant

Remember Anna Chlumsky? She made her debut in the coming-of-age movie My Girl (which made me cry for, like, a week straight) and then seemingly dropped off the radar. Instead of falling into the traps of celebrity, Anna instead lived in Brooklyn for awhile and worked in publishing like a normal girl. Now, the website After Ellen reports that Anna is returning to showbiz. In the meantime, she quietly kept acting in plays and doing occasional guest spots on shows like Law and Order. She just landed the lead role in Eight Days a Week, a CW comedy about a girl who works as the assistant to “an ego-driven website publisher.” As soon as it hits the schedule, you can bet I’ll be watching. Welcome back, Anna.
